« I’ll perform on illucia – a patchbay instrument I designed that connects computer programs using physical jacks and cables. Illucia lets me rework and blur the boundaries between software like videogames, text editors, and sound synthesizers. I’ll use it to patch loops between classic arcade games and word processors, and generally pump software with alien data until it bursts as generative audiovisuals. Is a network an instrument? Are systems art? Was Sigmund Freud the best videogame designer of our time? What else can a videogame do? »
